1. The site is informational
The articles, tools and trackers on this site are for general guidance and your own organisation. They are not a substitute for medical advice from a qualified clinician who knows your history.
2. Emergencies — never use this site
If you think you or your baby may be in danger, do not message us through the portal. Call us, WhatsApp the duty midwife, or go to your nearest maternity emergency unit immediately.
3. Your account
- You may only create an account in your own name. Partners can be invited as additional users with your consent.
- Keep your password private — sharing it could expose your medical details.
- Tell us straight away if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
- We may suspend an account that's being used to harass our staff or other users.
4. The tools (calculators, trackers, journal)
The due-date calculator, kick counter, birth-plan builder and My Journey diary are provided as helpful aids. They run on your device. We don't read your journal entries or your birth-plan choices unless you choose to share them with us. If a calculation looks unexpected, your midwife is the right next stop — not the calculator.
5. Bookings & cancellations
- Booking through the site or portal creates a tentative appointment. We confirm by WhatsApp or email within one working day.
- Please give us 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel a routine visit. A late-cancel fee may apply otherwise.
- For births, antenatal and postnatal care, the package terms in your written care agreement apply.
6. Payment
Invoices are issued in South African Rand and are due on the date shown unless we've agreed a payment plan. Late or unpaid invoices may incur reasonable interest as set out in our care agreement. We're not in the business of chasing you — if money is tight, please tell us early and we'll find a way through.
7. Content & copyright
All written content, illustrations, photographs and tools on this site are the property of Nurturers Nest Clinic, used with permission. You're welcome to print our resources for personal use. Please ask before reproducing them publicly.
8. Links to other sites
We sometimes link to outside websites that we think are useful. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or terms.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll show the new date at the top and post a small notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If we ever can't resolve a disagreement informally, the courts of South Africa will have jurisdiction.
